Mountaineering day

I wanted to get out in the Coires today to see how much snow had come down overnight. Actually it appeared more snow had come down around Newtonmore and the hills looked great here this morning in the beautiful sunlight. The Northern Coires were in the cloud and on the walk in there were around 15 people heading for Jacob's Ladder so I decided to go up the twin ribs and then along the Fiacaill ridge. I used a few hand jams today to get up the ridge which made it fun and the descended 0.5 gully avoiding the bucket seats and stompers. Lots of activity today with hard snow under powder. It snowing again in Newtonmore with the roads covered again.
