Fiacaill Ridge

There is still plenty of snow covering the buttresses today with large accumulations of snow in all the gullies. We opted to do Fiacaill Ridge today keeping us well away from the deep snow.

A few groups headed in to the corries to do some climbing while others choose to rap in from the Fiaciall Ridge to do the Seam.

The wind was strong making it difficult to walk in a straight line at times. The freezing level was above 1000 metres with dripping ice on the top of Fiacaill Ridge.

With more wind forecast for tomorrow I will be looking have later start and seek some out some low level activities. Also there is  MCofS winter lecture tonight with Nick Carter in Aviemore.

Here you will find reports of what we have been up to and the current
weather conditions from where we have been.
