I was in Locharber today with Blair from the Scottish Avalanche Information Service. There were high winds today meaning that Aonach Mor gondola was closed today. Which meant that Blair and I had to walk up the hill to make today's observations of the snow pack.
After looking at the layers of the snow pack it was surprising that there were layers that had not been effected by the recent rain.
With more wind and rain on the way the weekend does not look good for any hill activities.
