I was out just to the North West of Newtonmore today with Anna and Ali on their day off. We picked our way up through the heather to the start of the snowline around 700 m. Ticking off the Creag na h-lolare on the way over to A'Chailleach.
The weather today was amazing with sun glasses out for the first time this year. Hopefully the high pressure will carry on in to next week making for some beautiful days out.
There is a considerable cornice on the east face of A'Chailleach and unbonded wind slab with evidence of recent avalanche and cornice collapse.
James Thacker was out on the Aonach Eagach on the west today were I believe conditions were also good. If you are a keen climber you can join James for Facebook Thursday with his information on where to point the car on a Friday.

Out walking in Glen Coe today on Sron na Creise with Anna with patches of low cloud we took opportunity to practice some key navigation skills up top in the clag.
